5 roos in 10yrs...:he Those are terrible odds for someone with such a small flock who has never bought straight run. What am I supposed to do with this Beast?

I named him Beastie as a term of endearment (like in Maleficent.) Little did I know that tiny ball of fluff would turn into the monster sized beast that he is. He’s 6wks here... He’s going to be ginormous. I give him a week before he starts crowing. :barnie

Rotisserie!!!

Man, I wish it was that easy.
Might need to gift it to someone that is happy with the entire butchering thing.

I am so happy that my kids do all of that now.

Kids actually found a bunny tangled up in our garden net today. It got tangled, then panicked and killed itself. :idunno

Kid 2 just grabbed it, skinned it, started tanning the hide, processed the meat, kid 3 cooked it...

Guess what I had to do... taste a bit of cooked and seasoned meat, already all picked off the bones.

Yesterday I sat back and got to eat homemade chicken and bacon ravioli. I did point out which cockerels I wanted to disappear... and that is all I had to do... well, I poured a fancy sauce over the ravioli, then ate them.
