I am reminded of the Salem witch trials .And then I wonder when the book burnings will start.:confused:And then when will brain washing start to erase all traces of the civil war and slavery. I agree.... especially about erasing history.

So STUPID!!!!!

Our heroes are heroes NOT because they were perfect, but because they did at least one thing that was good.

It is good for us to learn from our past!!!! :barnie

Making money is always good!

No stuck in a ditch stories to tell us? :pop
Nope. And even kept all the shiny parts up (tho they got very dirty/muddy at times). I love how some up here get a bit "creative" about what defines a road. Went down an "unnamed road" yesterday that turned out to be a 10 mile long ATV trail thru the woods:th with the "house" I was looking for turning out to be a hunting shack. (of course). No way to turn around, gps or cell service (surprise). Let's just say a bit of praying involved until I reached the other end and came out on an actual gravel road.
Oh... polling question...

Of all of you folks....

1. Of all of the under 30 men folk that you see, what percentage have long hair

2. Is the long hair a) super groomed hipster, b) messy whatever hippy, c) viking something d) some odd something else I don't know about.
nope. No long hair up here. Only a few ponytails on some over the hill leftovers with their own happy weed crops growing back in the woods.

Morning Sour. And Good morning Pond Prevaricators....

Busy day today. so will be in and out.

So sorry I missed your birthday! :hugs Hope you accept my belated wishes. So glad to hear your relocation is moving along.

Leghorns are the most graceful/beautiful birds every created. :love
But I love my oh so ungraceful waddling Aussies!!!

Census work done and I survived with no major issues and only a few minor "war stories". Could have worked another couple days but where they wanted me to go next would definitely require a lot of driving to get there and a 4 wheel drive when I got there. We no longer own a 4x4 and the stress on the poor DH worrying about me just wasn't worth it. I was offered the opportunity to work the next phase, NRFU, beginning in August thru October, but I promised the DH this phase would be my last. I honestly don't mind actually. I really enjoy the work but in the north it really is a lot more physical (and risky) than folks many would realize and I'm just not as young and "fiesty" as I was the first time I did this and I was a little higher up the ranks in 2000 and 2010.
Now I can actually get busy on all the things that need to get done before that white stuff starts appearing again. We've had a new waterheater stored in the garage since my first census paycheck last March so that's first thing on the to-do list for tomorrow then AL knows all the other "between the snows" list things that have to get done outside.

My breed lust list:

Leghorn. Isabella color, dark browns, anything spotted.

Buttercup

Hamburg

Dominique

Ameraucana, wheaten

Nankin

D'anvers

Spitz

Wyandottes, especially BLR, and Jubilie, and some of the creamy ones...blanking on color names

Marans, black copper or wheaten

Welsummer
