Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

'Al' I guess I am okay for my age, but for sure 'I am no longer 25.' Two friends had to leave the field today with near heat prostration, and they had been riding around in ATV's. We'll see what the next two days bring.
Hydration!!! So important.

Also, huge hats. ;)

I am glad to hear that you were fine.

What kind of corn? :drool
We have regular field corn for crops, but we do have a sweet corn patch that’s 18 rows, about 100 yards long.
We have a neighbor who used to go to AK fishing and hunting. One year he loaded a cooler full of sweet corn and checked it. Gave it to whoever he was staying with, and brought the cooler home full of salmon.

Not a fish eater but, love, love, love sweet corn especially the bi-color ones. When they are really good, I don't even use butter or salt.
Sadly (for all of those numbers I get back from my yearly blood panel), I like most things drowned in butter. :drool

I don't remember ever having an ear of corn that didn't hanker after some butter... but then I am now old, maybe I just can't remember that far back. :idunno

Have a friend... his dad is a farmer, he was driving back up to Alaska, and decided to take a couple of coolers full of his dad's fresh sweet corn. They stopped him at the Canadian border, he answered all of the questions the way you need to to get through quick, ya know, like "no fresh food".

But he must have looked shifty, because they looked through his stuff, and found the corn. They started to get mad, and he said "but that is grass, corn is in the grass family, and that is how I was thinking of it" or some pretend stupid remark to that effect.

Anyway, he didn't get fined or in trouble... but they took ALL of that corn!!!

:hit
California is strict that way too.
