Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

The feeling was felt... what can I say.

And it just came on out... so here you are...

So here are some moose photos (from years past, not today)

Wow - very cool.

Although nowhere as cool, we have a little herd of mule deer does who have been hanging out in the front yard the last few days. I think they're eating acorns (which we had in abundance this fall).

It's supposed to be windy, but 60 degrees or so. Going to try to do one of our more mountainous runs today...last time there was so much tree damage (between fire weakened trees and 'concrete' snow) it became impassable. But, we have a huge mountain biking club that loves those trails, so we are hoping they've had time to clear them. :fl

moving laundry around on the lily pad today--hubby was cleared for hip replacement finally on Monday! needs to be at hospital by 6-45 (an hour away) I am not allowed to stay in hospital while they operate--they will call me when they're done! he should be released on Tuesday
Having had both hips replaced, I can tell you how much better he will feel. I’m glad he’s able to get that done!

BW was put to sleep this morning. After her episode that night I wanted to get things checked out, so made an appointment today.

The vet said that her recent loss of appetite was due probably to her having more trouble breathing. She said that she was likely to pass away on her own within the next few days to a week, and it might not be nice.

So I decided it was time.

Good morning Pond Scummies. Dreary day here today, but hubby is out to a gun show with the neighbor, I’m being lazy, drinking loads of coffee, wearing out the path to my incubator room awaiting the first call ducklings of the season.
