just hanging out waiting for the storm to hit. Generator's ready to go, everything tied down, chooks all tucked in, extra pot of coffee made. We're ready.
My remaining hens seem to be good, so far. I want to get more young ones so I would have layers next spring, but since I don't know what I am (or not) dealing with, I'm afraid to right now, but if I wait til later I'm running into them not being old enough when our lovely winter arrives.

Anyway, how's this for being a good neighbor?
