Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good morning, Pond.
Good evening. I need an opinion. The dog broke his dew claw completely off. Obviously, that hurts. He hasn’t been limping since shortly after it was cleaned up, but I don’t know when the pain (or maybe it’s just me feeling bad) will stop. How long should I wait before his next nail trim?
If it is broken off completely, all is good. If just hanging there, it will need to be removed. If completely gone, it may not regrow. No nail trim for a while.

Good morning Pond.

I found 3 call duck eggs in a chicken nest box today. Haven’t gotten duck eggs since mid-June, I think. I figured it was the spring youngsters starting to lay, but the oldest is only about 18 weeks. They usually don’t start that early, so it might be an older girl. Plus I’ve seen some mating starting back up, since the summer down-time.

You could trim his nails as needed just don't mess with that dew claw

How do you keep those cute tiny things from being eaten by raptors?
