Welcome to the Funny Farm!

Works so far huh all sold I am happy for that growing up like I did I still have that
I do not name birds but for the two boys
I get very attached to anything very quick! I’m surprised I’m even able to foster kitties! Growing up around my grandparents farm taught me about death of animals and meat. Growing up I would always name the cows and then be sad when they got too old or didn’t calf and had to go. I usually name everything even fish likely within the day that I get it... The only pet I haven’t grown madly attached to is the Guineas, they just aren’t cuddly like a little duck. I’ve never bonded with them I will likely be selling their offspring no problem next spring it’s the ducks I have a problem with. I will confess I once cried in a store because I saw a sick duckling... wanted to rescue it but couldn’t it just breaks my heart. I will see an animal and instantly form a bond. Like Little Kin, I saved him and now that he’s grown up he is a terror he bites and scratches constantly. He might not be nice but I love him more than anything and could never get rid of him. My family would always tell me “Rachel, you cannot save every animal in the world,” I really wish I could though... :th

I may try to save them but do not bring them home ..
Did many raids with Paws at puppy mills or midnight raids for abused or neglected.. I was the token veterinarian
Wow. That would be a dream job for me. I just love to save animals if I could just get over my attachment issues...:gigI just need to learn not to bring them home! How long did you do it for?

Had a tremendous scare today! Milo, who is 17, partially blind, and deaf in one ear wandered around in the yard! I was doing yard work and since he has been an outside kitty when we bought the house we let him go in and out of the garage as he pleases. He processed to walk right out into the traffic on the highway infront of my home! I sprinted out there and scooped him up unharmed. I lost a shoe on my rescue mission but am relieved he is safe. In all of his 17 years he has never gone onto the the road! I don’t know that he knew where he was. He is now an inside only kitty and he got extra treats.

I bet it would be hard to see the situations people put those poor animals through. Sounds like your littles are living the good life! The setup sounds great 👍. Those pesky hawks came back but everyone was secure no snacks for them.
