So we are naming him. Neo. This is the only survivor of a bator power strip disaster last week. I didn't make it in time to save the rest of the chicks and I hatched him manually. He had a huge opening where the umbilical hadn't closed yet but is doing great now. Doesn't chirp a lot like I expected for a lone chick though we are careful about holding him too much and he likes his mirror buddy and feather duster bed.
Dad was a black silkie, mom was either an EE or an EE/Silkie mix. He's black skinned and black footed with 10 toes though the back 4 don't have good separation which is fine by me.

Chickenlady, On mine that tore itself hatching, I pushed what I could back in and put a band aid over it. I kept it clean and replaced band aids as needed. It's been 3 weeks now, and you can't even tell he hurt himself.
