Let me just tell you, they mean the world to me. My life has been a living hell lately. My christian family found out I'm gay and have pushed me away, I don't even speak while I'm at my house


But my parents seem to be trying to suck up to me lately, maybe because although they hate what I am they don't want me to hate them

don't take this the wrong way but here my 2* cents ;


seems your parents are from the old school as so am I late late 40's but close to 50 yrs young , I’m married for some 26 yrs now as of 2day and have 2 children in there early and mid 20's and a 5 yr old grandson not that means much but Like I stated old school but know what most old school don't believe in , but I believe in today world and life – straight up , speck my mind, and call it like it is .

where ur Gay – Straight-bi- white -black green -red or brown -any creed -color- race - or what ever Period ...........ur still a child of GOD , but I not going to go there on here , most parents of the older generation are from the old school bottom like , I don't think they don't love you , they just don't understand - only time will heal these broken hearts for all of ya's
so deal with this separated .
as for ur friend with the partnership of chickens , well this is another plate and deal with this ,

first of all if Ya love ur pets chicken do as most stated try to fine a new place of home for them as so as ya can until you can provide a place at ur own place for them even if it only a couple of them and start over afterwards

as for ur so call friend .....there no real friendship there and call it quits as soon as possible .....her lost....just might be ur gain....... only time will tell .........just-let-it-go


the first think is get ur pet chickens safe and sound - the 2nd is get ur life back w/ ur parents and explain to them it ‘s you that choose...... this way of life fits ur need s of life and has nothing to do with the way you where borough up or raise - it that it’s ur choice of life style – and this has been the style of many since the begin of Christianity or since the being of man kind which most will not see or agree or speck the truth but it in the bible but I will not go there to many different opinions on this , this is just my 2 cents and opinion I don’t not want to offend anyone believes , way of life styles or ect.



Just giving my 2* cent worth as a year in the 21 st. century as a parent of living in today world

Hope things brighten up 4-ya Kanchii , Keep ur head up , ur back strong , -n- take it slow but take 1 day at a time –n- things will shine soon . remember ur in da driver seat

And telling your parents can't be easy, especially if they aren't being understanding about it. I wish you all the best! Better to have it out though I think, now at least you can get all of this out of the way sooner than later...... I always believe honesty as the best course and better to address things sooner than later just so you know where everyone stands and you can treat things accordingly. NEVER live a life that isn't yours! I know someone who is doing just that and it's so sad to watch...... nothing good ever comes out of it. If people cannot accept you as you are, family included, then that is their loss! Hopefully though they will come around..... Even when we don't understand or agree, we still long to have our loved ones and especially children, close... so give them time.

I really feel for you. We don't just teach tolerance in our home, we teach ACCEPTANCE! I really don't understand what all the hoopla is about. There should be no difference. Wishing you all the best! I'm sure with time and patience much of this will resolve

I'm still working things out with the 'friend' trying to get her to sell me the coop and all that jazz, and once I buy it from her I'm going to take it to our 4-h leaders house and keep them there. Things are ok at home, though I still don't really talk.

Hey my friend I wanted to take a minute or two here to share my support for your current situation. First look at all the support you are getting from the crowd here! That is so fantastic. I do hope your friend is getting out of the chicken buisness because she is tired of them and not becasue you gay. Life is not always fair! As I read your story others I know who have made poultry successful in the transitional stages of life come to mind. First let me encourage you to transition out of this situation in good faith. Accept the change and work with it. If you can care for the birds until you can either house them your self or place them maybe she will work with you. Maybe you need to let them be sold or sell them your self until you can house your own birds some day. My friend was able to rent a number of farm houses in the country where he could keep his poultry. Maybe you can find another friend locally that will let you keep birds on his/her property in trade for eggs or labor. Keep you chin up you do have options some times people dont even get options.
 
She won't sell me the coop. She says her father wants to keep two of his favorite hens in it.

I know he'll never even go out there to see them, it's so dumb.

So this leaves me without a coop. I'm going to ask around the 4-h if anyone has an extra big rabbit hutch they can keep my two keepers in for a while until I find a coop to put at Erika's house.

WHAT ABOUT A DOG IGLOO? WOULD THAT BE STUPID- I'LL LOOK AROUND AND SEE IF I CAN'T COME UP WITH SOMETHING I'M NOT THAT FAR FROM YOU.....
also.... did you check on Craigs List???

I found someone to make me a perfect coop for $300 and I'm probably going to be picking up a rabbit hutch I saw thats 3' x 2' that they can stay in for a few days until the hutch I ordered is completed, which should be before wednesday.
