I should have my incubator in a couple of days....going to order silkie eggs. I can't wait. I have been leaning toward the bearded silkies but now that I see your little girl I think I want some non-bearded too....She is so blasted cute !!!!

Thanks! You know, I always liked the non-bearded look better than the others - which is funny because beards and afros are so popular!! But, I didn't really think you could very definitively choose/tell if they were one way or the other until they've hatched and grown a few months? I got my little chikies from mypetchicken.com so I don't know if it's different for other places. Where are you buying your girls?

Ive never had silkies and Im so excited . I havent had Buff Orps or EEs either , and Im just as excited..e

I went into TSC yesterday just as they brought in 100 or so baby ducks and chickens, and I had to exercise extreme willpower since I saw they had EEs this time, not to scoop them all up..
