Thank you Sorin174 and terrilhb .
There is a lot of good quality old furniture that can be recycled. I just bought few days ago a set of three tables (coffee and sides tables) from Habitat for $25 all three. They are solid wood (the top is 2 in. thick) real heavy, made in the 50 or 60, with beautiful details and a rustic look. Just needs a little attention and they will be as good as new. I love the rustic look. Im going to use this set in a seating area next to the chicken run. I love the old furniture because it was made to last a life time, not like the cheap Made in China junk we buy now
If the style is to old fashion you can change it by removing or adding some of the ornate details.
and Alison, I drove down on a weekend in several neighborhoods, looking for junk at the side of the road that I can use to make two new small nesting boxes for few of my little bantams that like to hide their eggs, and I'm still looking for something that I can use to put my broody hen when she hatches her eggs....I hope
Improvising, improvising.......I love improvising,
makes you feel like an artist who creates something new out of something old.
