Well, today SUCKED.

Quote:
I wouldn't have seen you even if I was, too busy watching my little monsters, lol. Don't worry, when I worked there people puked all the time, rides, heat, funnel cakes, all make it pretty common.
And it's better than puking on a ride. My friend threw up all over me on cyclone sam's once. Not only where we covered in puke, they had to shut down the ride so they could clean it.

And, if it makes you feel better I do really awful in the heat. We were at the state fair once, and I started to feel really dizzy. I sat down at one of the games on the midway, my sister gave me her lemonade to drink, and I puked all over the game. Oh well, at least I stopped them from ripping people off for a few minutes, and got to take a nice cool break in the first aid tent. I also threw up at rockfest because of the heat and being dehydrated because of kidney issues at the time. Of course first aid there just thought I was one of the drunk people and didn't help me at all. I had to leave and call and ambulance to take me to the hospital. So I've had my fair share of embarrassing incidents, too. Since I've had my kids and it's become a common occurrence for me to be stuck somewhere with pee or poop or puke on me, it doesn't faze me much anymore.

Cyclone Sam would be awful to puke on!

Debi: Yeah, seriously. It's days like this that make me ask God, "You know, teen pregnancy rates would REALLY drop if you just..."

Baby baskets have been in business for centuries now. And then I want to go on a rant about all the crap we are eating that was not around then and is poisoning us.... But I will just shut up.

You don't have to shut up if you don't want to. Chances are you'll put a sarcastic and funny spin on it which would make me laugh. Though maybe that's not a good idea... Everybody else is asleep and I'm sitting here using the laptop as a makeshift heating pad.

Those therm wraps are AWESOME!!! And I have two new kittens and one keeps climbing on the keyboard.

Seriously though. Have you ever thought about the amount of garbage we put in out bodies every day? Women 300 years ago worked in fields, cooked in brick ovens, washed clothing with rocks!!! And they are from the earth. I cannot at all say I am perfect in that respect, but I certainly do try. Since I have started eating foods with no high fructose corn syrup, and have been making mostly everything from scratch, I hardly have any monthly issues!!!

It's just a square plastic pad with a cord you plug into the wall... Never used a thermal wrap.

Awwww!

I'm going to go into a cuteness coma just thinking about it!

*Looks depressed* We eat without HFC and cook from scratch also, what with Joshua, Mazie, and Lumpy's allergies. Well, mostly, anyway. I on occasion will indulge in something with Monster Buggies (our term for anything with cow's milk, corn, or gluten) but very rarely.

Poor thing. The pill (Yaz specifically) really, really helped me in that area. But, others I tried first did not, and in fact made things worse. The worst was Depro-vera, which is a shot that lasts months. Oh my gosh, I went insane. I honestly was in tears when my boyfriend beat me at a silly board game called 'Sweet Valley High'. In tears. Pink board game. I accused him of trying to make me look stupid as I recall. Today, we crack up about it, but it was really awful at the time. XD Point being, everyone's body is different and if you go that route, you usually have to try multiple products before you find the kind that works for you. It was so worth the horribleness of messing around with hormones though when I did find something that worked. Before that, I would either bleed or not bleed for 4 months straight.

I started my period at 9 years old. It was intense the first time and has been ever since. They tested me to see if I was an hemophiliac, I didn't test positive-but I have a lot of symptoms for it, still do. I cannot have any kind of blood thinner, which is tough, since my son and I like green drinks and high mental homeopathics, like omega-3 fish oils and all. I cannot take those at all, ever or else I will instantly say hello to mother nature! I am now 43, not to be a downer, but I didn't react well at all to depo shots, and different varieties of the pill, and the one thingy put into my arm norovera or whatever-didn't work. Massive migraines and heavy horrible you-know-whats every month! So, I routinely let 2 days be 'normal', with low amounts of exercise and movement, and then the 3rd day I start Iron pills with motrin-ibuprofen at 6-800 mg exactly at all times needed...6 hours from each dose. It stops it and brings me out of it within a day. I'm not trying to be a downer, just sometimes other things don't help and its just dealing with it.

P.S. My most embarrassing experience was when I took my child to a swim lesson and my friend's husband ended up taking his child/my daughter's friend, and yeah, huge all over horrible mess...at a public pool...and he pointed it out because noone else would...and ended up watching my child in the water while I figured out a way to walk backwards to the bathroom...must've been about 100 people there at the time. Its no wonder I moved to the country and started raising chickens

Ok, I'm going to be no help at all...so brace yourself Eenie....I have never had any cramps or such problems.
idunno.gif
Never had any labor pain with my DD either. My water broke, only way I knew I was in labor.
idunno.gif

In any case, not knowing what you are going through at all in that respect...I did have a bad day, added on top of a horrid couple of months...so if that helps any? Oh, and here's a hug.

Just kidding.

Thanks, Em. I'm cheering myself up by sitting here and watching old home movies of Mazie coloring. She tried to turn her pen upside down to erase.

Yikes!

Sorry you had such a bad day! My "girl business" is due to arrive on camp, when we basically sleep in a tent and a canoe for three days with no bins or toilets.

You are very allowed to hate me.

I think most of the other women in labor did as well. I was sitting cross-legged in the bed cracking jokes while everyone else was...screaming?

If it makes you feel any better at all, I may not have *those* problems, but I DID have hyperemesis, and I had to have a C-section. My cousin who has horrible periods? No problems whatsoever.

Maybe it'll benefit you in the future.

As far as cheering up, I'm gonna crash on the couch with my best friend and watch sappy romance movies.

ETA: I eat whatever I want too...so I doubt any processed or bad food causes problems like that. Some women have the problem, some don't. I doubt it has anything to do with corn syrup.
