This chick is about 3-4 weeks old and I am pretty sure this little guy is just that a guy anyone out there have any idea? His comb is more prominent and is slightly larger and tail feathers are different than the other wellsummer chick.[IMG]

I'm not really sure, but the first thing I noticed was those thick legs, so maybe a cockerel.

I just got my wellies and they are 4 weeks today. I have done a lot of reading up on them. If it is a girl the V on their head will be very prominent and they will have all red on their chest not black. I think I see some black spotting in yours chest. I am going to say cockerel but please wait for others to respond too.

I hatched 6 wellsummers last year and 3 were boys, 3 were girls. I would say 100% that hes' a BOY. Looks just like my boys did. Yours has large legs and comb growth is quite pronounced for 4 weeks old.

Unless there are are some black feathers coming in on the breast that I can't see, my vote is pullet.
