Welsummer Cockerel?

Hello there very new to owning chickens. In our flock of 12 chickens we have an

11-12 week old Welsummer we had named Summer and are thinking we need to change it Samuel. We posted one of these pics in our intro post and a very lovely person confirmed we have a Samuel. We wanted a rooster and when we got our chicks the breeder said they only had females. Hoping for some more input before we get overly happy, change names, and start celebrating our good fortune. This chicken has not starting crowing yet but does exhibit dominate behavior over the other chickens.

If they only had females they weren't a breeder.. maybe just a reseller of hatchery chicks.

The white lobes means that isn't a Welsummer.

Most breeds get their gender saddle feathers start coming in around 12 weeks.. I do think I can make out pointy saddle feathers so I will agree cockerel.

Looks more like a production red or something similar to me.

Thank you I would say reseller then and we are so new To this world we had no idea. We were told Welsummer and had no reason to question. I really appreciate you helping us to understand, learn, & grow in our chickie knowledge
