I wasn't looking for a Welsummer when I bought her, although I definately wouldn't mind having one.She was suppose to be a bsl and that's most likely what she is, even though she is feathered different than any I have ever had.
You guys ought to see the front cover of Meyers Hatchery catalog. It has a beautiful welsummer hen on the front. I have been wanting a couple of welsummer chicks for awhile now and was so taken by the beautyof the Meyers front cover of their welsummer that I ordered 2 pullets that are suppose to be here in 2 weeks.
Oh how I hope that they are of quality...I didnt know you couldnt get quality stock from the hatcherys. As they grow i will post their pictures and then post some pictures of their eggs. I so hope you guys are wrong about the quality of hatchery chicks
.
You are probabaly right but Im hoping you are wrong. I am hoping for those dark eggs without speckles.
She is so nice! I copied her picture to my photos so i could compare my 2 chicks from meyers. They are not here yet but I want something to go by.

Well, I'm not sure what you have but I am sure it is not a Welsummer. My guess is that someone crossed an Ameraucana of some sort with a Welsummer.
The green legs are the dead give away. I will be able to give you a better idea in a few months if that is the case as I am breeding some of my cull Welsummers to all three of my Ameraucana roosters. One Wheaten and two BWs.
