Dachsund alert - Be careful with doxies, alot of BYCer's have found out they love chickens in the worst way - just sayin' You wouldn't think little dogs could do so much damage - and hound breeds aren't the easiest to train

I know all about dachshunds! She is a pain in the butt. When around the chickens I watch her closely. She loves the chicks and loves to watch them, but she doesnt realize how fragile they are and that she needs to be careful! She likes to try and herd them, and if they stick their heads through the wire she will nip at them. When I tell her no she will leave them for a moment, but still got to watch her. But when you ask her if she wants to see the chicks she perks up and runs to the door haha
Thats a shame about the wyandottes since they are so pretty! Our black chicks aren't that friendly either...a guy at a feed store who was very knowledgable about chickens said the black sex links were supposed to be friendly, they aren't terrible but they also don't care for me to much haha
