We're finally getting a new barn!!

The pad is finished!!

They will be there in the morning to start the barn.. only supposed to take them a week to build it!! Not a minute too soon either as I go on a road trip to pick up my Large Black piglets next weekend..

Unfortunately... not much has happened.. When they came out on Wed to start the barn, they realized the pad wasn't quite big enough.. Apparently, either the back hoe or track hoe, moved my twine outline designating the location and then they just didn't do the pad big enough.. He was supposed to have been back out yesterday to finish but didn't make it... Hopefully he came today but I haven't been out to check yet...

When there's something to report, I'll post pictures and everything!!

They didn't get much done this week.... ended up having to dig all the holes with a backhoe... another expense we didn't plan on... even then, some of the holes are not deep enough, so they are going to drill into the lava and anchor the posts that way... I can't believe how long this is taking... I have put off picking up the Large Black piglets twice and it looks like the barn still won't be finished when I go to pick them up next weekend..

At least we haven't had any more sightings of the mountain lion that I am aware of..
