TOMORROW!

Yes, call me pathetic but this has been in the works for 2 years and finally the dang thing opens tomorrow morning. And I am happy. And we are getting a strip mall to boot. I know there are a bazillion people groaning over the opening of another Wal-Mart and strip mall , but when your town consists of more feed stores than human stores, this is a step UP.

And our town is dead anyway so there is no business to drive away except the Safeway which overcharges for everything. The economy already done shut them all down. Though I will still shop at Safeway for their bakery and meat departments.

Yay for us - we're big time now.

Yay for you. Wal mart is a fact of life for many of us with few other options.

It's changed a lot since Sam died, but everything changes.

Sorry, I refuse to shop at Walmart for a variety of reasons. I can't stand them.

A friend of mine lives 40 miles from the nearest grocery store that doesn't sell expired food and $5 a gallon milk. She'd love to have a Wal-Mart nearby. We take for granted the conveniences of life, I guess. We shop at Wal-Mart Super Center for 80% of our groceries. The rest we have to get at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods because our daughter has a dairy allergy and they are the only places to get soy cheese or soy butter.

Yay!! Congrats to you!! We got a new super-walmart back in October. We had a regular one before, but they built a new building and upgraded. I HATE IT!!

It has absolutely nothing I need most of the time!

It was a good thing when it first arrived, but I wish we still had the regular one. The next town (30 miles away) also has a Super-Walmart, and theirs is better. But since we got ours, I can't make a good enough argument going to be taken to the other one.

But anyway! Congrats! Walmart is a good place, and I'm happy you have it near you
