We're looking at a pony today

I agree with him probally being a grade pony. A grade(mixed) can make the best kind of horse. Spend some time with him, doing some groundtraining before daughter gets on him. Good luck and he is really cute. Is is me or what? I was really bugged they did not separate that mean mare from you guys, you could have been hurt. I glad everything turned out okay.

The lady who owns the pony is scared of the mare. It's not her mare and the owner was not there. I should have just grabbed the mare and stuck her in the stall, but I was just trying to avoid her, keep DD away from the fence and look at Bo (I guess probably spelled Beau).

I agree, I could have gotten hurt and wasn't impressed at all. Hopefully her owner will be there Thursday for the vet check so it can be done thoroughly without anyone getting bit, or worse kicked.

I will definitely be doing ground training with him and would like to teach him to drive, he may already know, but his history is vague and his current owner has only saddled him.

Anyway, looking at ponies on the net I am agreeing he is, as Pat put it, a Heinz 57 pony, which I don't mind at all. I'm just glad that he is sweet, gentle and nothing seems to phase him. It will be interesting when he meets the chickens and goats...lol.
