If left to their own devices pigeons can practically raise a clutch of two squabs every month in the right conditions. Breeding does slow down in the winter months but in some cases it does not stop completely..

Another option might be to contact retailers who sell agricultural feed for livestock near by and make inquires.

I say hen pigeons can lay an egg without a male.

However pigeons are not like chickens who after years of selective breeding do not need a rooster to lay.

Pigeons need stimulation and will lay faster and more often if a male pigeon or lesbian is present.

Most fanciers go with either Dam - Sire; Cock - Hen; or Male - Female
