Beekissed Thanks for the info. But that's my friend, i got her hooked on Silkies. She hatched them from mine. LOL :lol :lol :Canan Heights is a beautiful place! Just up the hill a little ways.

Couple of years ago, did anyone happen to see a large flock of very beautiful free ranging chickens up there? About 25 or so birds?

Right up on Canaan Heights! I free ranged a flock temporarily for one night...that's all it took for them to disappear without a trace. If it were predators we would have seen feathers, maybe some blood. No trace, no evidence that a chicken had ever been there at all. Vanished without a trace. We walked a mile in either direction looking for them, asked all the neighbors, noone had ever even seen them. Some slick folks up there, to be able to steal away with my wiley flock without ruffling a feather!
