Westford MA June 7 NAS tailgate poultry sale- anyone going?

I enjoyed the westford sale quite a bit. My friend's cochin frizzle/mille D'Uccle roos got a lot of attention. Sold lots of chicks and my 3 month old cockerel white japanese (sniff- wanted to keep that one but can't have roos) but came home with two valley quail chicks.

I don't know much about pigeons but I saw quite a few fancy ones that looked real nice. Looked like lots of them sold (love yours Gypsy- I think you were parked beside me *grin*).

I thought it was nice that there seemed to be some of everything- peacocks, ducks, geese, finch, quails, plants ect

Just getting into them and didn't realize how sweet they are...

You really missed some stunning birds. I got a beautiful pair of Indian Fan Tails from friend of mine also. beautiful big fans, but i mashed one birds feathers almost to ratty tatted. poor baby.
There were some nice swifts and homers.
You will have to plan on coming down in Sept when they start back up again.
Its always a great time getting together with good friends and making new good friends.

Wow, they are beautiful.. She loves the fantails too. What color are those, very pretty? She's got 4 pairs right now, warsaw butterfly, Indian Fantasy, Jacs and her Frillbacks, I like the frillbacks, I don't think she has a faveroite she loves 'em all...

Does anyone here go to Sturbridge? She's been hearing alot about the all pigeon show so I looked it up. Wow, it's a big deal looks kind of exciting she would love to see all the different kinds of pigeons.

I'll be attending, but this is my rookie year in pigeon shows(Hoping it's not too different from rabbit/cavy shows.) My Buddy Seth(Mass 4-Her) is going to Faircount, and possibly Sturbridge. ?He told me that they both are great venues, and even if you're not showing, are great for the sales section.

I havent had a lot of time to secure teh color of one of them, depending on barring it could be a slate, blue or grey.( and here I thought rabbits were confused on colors lol) the other is called a fawn I believe.
I was thrilled to get them and the satinettes, I also have a huge cock fan tail thats a chocolate cinnamon. but getting a picture of him right now is kida hard he is guarding a nest ( and he isnt a small bird lol ) and has a hard case of grumpitis. I will get one later tonight when he isnt sitting.

That would be great!! It would be our first year there too. Sarah wants to try taking some of her birds. She loves the poultry shows, she's been doing them almost 4 years.. Course I get very excited watching her get so excited, I'm just a big kid

Well, I think she likes staying in the hotels for the out of State shows too. This hotel looks very fancy she'll love it..

the regulat rate for a queen bed is like 115-140$ or so a night(don't quote me, but it's around that.) Yeah, I grew up showing in 4-H fairs, and ACBA/ARBA shows. looking foreward to these shows

Yeah, I think that's what was listed on their site too. She will just need to save a little of her money

She's pretty good with that when she wants something. We used to show cavies too way back in the younger married years, was never in 4-H and glad we got her into it, this has been the best thing for her, she's learned lots.

Shay, they'll be a show in december(11-12) in sturbridge mass, There should be a number of pigeons available there.

The one in Sturbridge is a really great show. I went there looking for a pair of modenas and came home with WAY more, without going over my budget (well maybe a little...) but it was really nice and I look forward to the one this year. I'm hoping I might even have something to show.
