Is anyone interested in two Unbrella Cockatoo's? They come with a big cage and have not been hadled much so I would say they bite hard and they are very very loud. Free to a good home, not to be re sold

I got a call yesterday from the town science teacher and he said he had 13 chicks hatch from the eggs I gave him.
He wasn't sure which were which except for the 3 frizzles that hatched.
I have a beautiful cochin roo as the dad on those.
The others are mixed, the rooster is a black copper marans and the hens would have been olive eggers, easter eggers (which will make olive eggers) and orpingtons and such.
I will figure it out when I look at them.
He is dropping them off on Monday except for the three he is keeping until spring so the kids can watch them grow. I will get those back as well.
He wants to keep a frizzle, an easter egger looking one and a black one.
He wants more eggs on Monday too, he said if you ever want me to hatch some for you let me know, he said he will hatch them all year for me if I like.
I don't even have to worry about incubating eggs myself, this is awesome.
He says he is going to need a large amount of eggs come spring for the individual classrooms to do their hatches.
So anyway, I won't be able to keep them all and will bring them to the swaps if anyone is interested in some fun mixes, I won't bring very young ones during the cold weather though but if there is any interest let me know.
On another note, the town animal inspector came on Monday and did his surprised inspection, all went perfectly and I am licensed for another year.

Yes its normal, to my knowldege (from the town officer) the towns/ cities decide on the bi laws regarding livestock but if they issue a permit for livestock then the state of Massachusetts requires that you have a yearly inspection and renew your permit.
However, its up to the individual towns to enforce it and inspect yearly and some towns don't bother.

I know people who have never been inspected, either their town doesn't have the manpower or its just not high on their list of priorities.
I also know people who just got their animals and didn't report it to the town, I like to be legal, that way if someone complains you aren't in trouble and being told to get rid of the animals.
Glad your inspection went well too, he gave me a grade as excellent on the permit and he told me that I could in fact have other livestock if I so wished, he shouldna told me that

Mine usually comes in October, he starts inspections in September and ends up here in October but he said he had that bad flu and was out of work for a while, I like this guy alot I hope he doesn't retire any time soon.
