I am new as well. However the pox hit all the chicks and the mama broody within 5-10 days and progressively got worse.....I did not know that their area would remain infected after I moved them away from the main flock and I ended up using their pen for others... so over the next few weeks it showed up in almost the entire flock one by one fairly rapidly.
