I havent washed them in dawn. I read youre supposed to but i figured its bad for them thats why i came to post here lol
I read that too, but I'm not sure it's what should be done. Gonna have to do some research on the subject.

FYI, I have a bunch the same age and all get wet just like yours do. :hugs

Sorry about that! I read too fast… and panicked a bit because you can loose chicks easily after »deoiling« them with a detergent. The feathers won't fluff up as they should be and they loose too much warmth. While i was living in Texas there was that oil-spill from deepwater-horizon and all the seabirds had big problems after being cleaned up.

Also just curious.... theyre about five weeks old. Three pekins one blue runner. Im pretty sure blue runner and one pekin are girls and that the other two pekins are boys. Will they try to mate with blue runner? When should i expect them to get aggressive? I dont want my males fighting and hurting each other As of right now the boys love to hang out and the girls love to hang out but they all kind of tend to avoid the other pair. I thought this might be a good sign....
