Wet fowl pox, 2 chickens with 1 eye swollen shut, need advice about treatment

Hello friends... I just got back home from taking Henny Penny to the Vet... All went well and I have nothing to worry about but the fowl pox secondary infections which I've been doing a great job at healing... Today while there I noticed I could actually see Hennys eyeball a little bit but 3 days ago I couldn't and it was swollen completely shut as you've read already. All I did was put Neosporin on the infected eye and VetRx on the combs and waddles along with under their wings. Started them on tetracycline/minced garlic in their water as well as thru a syringe orally... The vet sent me home with some eye ointment called neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and bacitracin zinc ophthalmic... Now I must say with the results I've seen doing what I just explained on my own I'm more then sure my birds would be fine without the Vets ointment but I went ahead n got it since he referred to my all natural VetRx as "Snake Oil"... lol.... and they always lean more towards prescription meds over natural... which is fine I understand... Thanks again for the input yall.... I still keep u updated on Oreo and Henny Pennys recovery Hope your day is good!

I am happy to report that both Oreo (pic shown here 6 days after her eye was swollen shut) and Henny Penny r doing great and with both their eyes being open have been reunited with their flock... I am one happy chicken Mama!!!!
