Wet Paint on my Chickens

My three year old had been painting flower pots with red paint. Just hanging out with her brother on the back porch. Getting messy but with kid friendly paint.
Te this trio really loves the kids so they hopped over the rail to investigate. I had stepped inside at the time to refill the paint rinse water.. Not great timing.
These curious chickens learned what happens when they too close to a paint covered toddler. Three painty pats on the back later... it was bath time.

Nutmeg panicked when my son set her in the tub and...
Jumped to safety on my chest. I'm glad I have my raincoat on. Underneath is my church dress. unfortunately the red pigment has stained her feathers and I'm bummed about that.

Meanwhile the other two hung out like Champs while my son wiped the paint off with a wet wad of toilet paper. Then they joined forces to become...

Too cute! They may be able to preen off some of that red. Silly birds!

My Maleficent rubbed up against the coop as I was painting it and wound up with white paint of her. It was there until she molted.
