I smelled Eddie’s first and nothing was noticeable, Eddie doesn’t have any lesions in her mouth.
I then smelled Devs and there was really no bad odor. It might have been a little stronger than Eddie’s but it didn’t smell bad to me at all.
And I’m surprised to see that some of it has reduced in size overnight, it seems like it does that though. Where sometimes there’s a lot of it and other times they are small.

I already have both metronidazole and acidified copper sulfate ready.

Should I go ahead and give metronidazole just in case? Her mouth did not smell pungent though.

I'd try the Acidified Copper first. What I usually do is get a 1 gallon water jug, put in 1/4 teaspoon of the Copper and fill with 1 gallon of water. I also add 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to make it palatable, the Copper is bitter and they can refuse to drink it. Mix up the jug each time before using and pour some into a quart waterer each day. This mix should last several days. Use this as sole drinking water for 10 days. You will need to use probiotics after treatment as the Copper will kill off all good bacteria and digestive yeasts from beak to vent.

I’ve been monitoring Dev and am now planning on treating it.

Can I ask why the water method is easier?

I think it would be easier since Eddie has nothing in her mouth to just give Dev the metronidazole. That way I wouldn’t have to worry about refusal of the water.
And @dawg53 what would happen if I did do a little bit more? Is it dangerous?

And lastly, I do give things like Metacam and turmeric, is there anything that shouldn’t be given with the Copper or Metronidazole?

Copper Sulfate is commonly used in animal feeds as a source of copper. However it is considered a heavy metal and can be highly toxic at high doses, so you definitely want to dose as labeled. They Acidify it to make it more palatable but I don't think they put enough Citric Acid in it, not that I have tasted it, however I have seen birds turn up their beaks, hence adding Apple Cider Vinegar to it. It is safe to use if instructions are followed. Never use it undiluted, always mix with the recommended amount of water.

I personally think the Copper will do a better job at killing this canker than the Metronidazole. Copper kills on contact and as she drinks it, it will start killing immediately. Copper kills off a very wide variety of pathogens and toxic to your birds life forms. Copper, while it kills off things from beak to vent, is not an antibiotic. Antibiotics mess with the Immune System and over time weakens it. The Metronidazole has to run through the entire intestinal tract and liver before it even starts to work. The Copper will start the moment she drinks. I personally would start with the Copper and move on to the Metronidazole only if the Copper doesn't do the trick.

You don't have to withdraw from using anything on either the Copper or the Metronidazole, continue feeding or using her normal foods or supplements.

Canker can be spread to chickens via wild birds, especially from Pigeons and Doves. So just to be safe, make sure to keep your girls away from any wild bird feeders, baths or from drinking out of puddles where wild birds might drink.

Ok so tomorrow I will start with the accidified copper sulfate since I want to be home for the whole day to make sure they are happy with the taste.

I have a plastic jug that is a gallon. I fill that up with water, add 1/4 teaspoon of accidified copper sulfate and 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar.

Then shake it, and pour 1/2 of it into my 5 liter plastic chicken water. And this is for 7-10 days?
