Hi all, I posted my lot of 12 about a month ago and the pretty much unanimous decision was they were all pullets. Well, here we are now, they are 5 months old, and there are definite signs of mating going on! I have a few girls that are getting bare spots on their back, and I have seen a few bullseyes on yolks. We have 8 out of 12 that are currently laying. So I did the squat test and these for did not squat for me. I am going to assume one of them is the suspected roo. Can you all help me weed him out?

Uugh, and that is what I feel like too, but everyone else appears to be hens as well. And would a roo squat when I approached him?

I have 3 that their backs look like this. This one actually has a bald patch now. Am I wrong to think this is from breeding?

A roo wouldn't squat when you approach him, a laying hen would. Are there pics of all 12 birds there? All the birds pictured are ladies.
There is a post from me a few weeks ago with pics of all 12 of my chickens. Everyone pretty much said hens, that is why I am now confused with what I am seeing! I can try and get new pics of the other 8, but they all squat and we are getting 8 eggs a day. These 4 are the only ones that do not squat.
