My husband loves them, so we built a pen and now have peafowl... And I already have a question. The pied is obviously male, and there are two India blue females, but there are four yearlings... Supposedly two of each. One pair of midnight black shoulder and one pair of Spaulding. Can anyone differentiate these, for a newbie?

[/IMG][/IMG] these are the two I am confused about.

I see a black shouldered male and an Indian blue male in the photo you posted. I don't see any pied unless the Indian blue is not showing any white as in he is a dark pied.
Do you have photos of the others you were asking about?
Congratulations on your new Peas.
They are really neat birds.

Hello Christabelle and
welcome-byc.gif
, in particular, the corner of BYC where Peas are the Bees Knees!

Hmm...that boy on the right that Zaz says is IB looks a bit dark to me?
Might just be the picture, though.

The one in the front I think is the midnight black shoulder (split) male- and the whiteish one in this pic I figured was the hen that went with him.

Thank you!! They sure are different birds... So exotic. I throw in mealworms everyone I go out trying to get them to warm up to me. Looks like I have three yearling males and one hen then? How long can I keep the males together? That's again everyone!!
