Oh, I'm sorry. Don't give up - I once had a cat return after more than three weeks, scrawny and bedraggled. It turns out his disappearance and reappearance coincided with our neighbor's trip to Florida. We surmised that he had been locked in the lady's barn the whole time.

Thank you all so much for your kindness. I have just sat here and balled my eyes out reading them all.

I will let you know how it goes. I am hoping that she will be waiting for me when I get home today. :aww

Be sure to check anything you have opened and closed recently. If you have had company have them check their cars. I once got halfway home (at night, in the dark) and had something start moving in my back seat! It turned out to be my friends cat , Pumpkin! Scared the beegeezies out of me.

Check the barn, the trunk, the cupboards, anything she could have been exploring. Chances are everyone else is right, she wandered off, and will find her way back on her own. I will say a prayer for Fluffy and you.

I really hope you find her. I too would bawl my eyes out if one of my kitties went missing. Cats are amazing, sometimes the can get into the strangest places and not get out again. A friend lost a cat during the winter, and found him in the spring. He had been buried when snow slide off the roof, when it melted he came out thin and matted but unharmed. Good luck with Fluffy.!

Cats are very territorial as I'm sure you know. Usually if a cat goes missing after you've seen feral/wild cats around it's because your cat has been chased off her own territory by the other cats. This has happened to me, I have 6 cats. Luckily my cat that was missing for almost 3 days was found in my neighbors tree!

If she's wondered off to far she may have trouble finding her way back. She will most likely hide scared during the day and try to find her way home as the sun goes down. Walk up and down your road and call her name softly. Don't yell it'll probably scare her, she'll think she's in trouble. Call her and then stop walking a listen and hopefully you'll hear her respond. It sounds crazy but that's how I found mine. I actually called him for 2 nights and he didn't respond until the 3rd.

You can also put her toys or a towel that smells like you or her on your porch for her to find a familiar scent.

I hope you find her!

There's hope yet. My relative had a cat that disappeared for about 5 weeks. He went through the whole process: putting up signs, asking neighbors, driving the area, animal shelters, then finally grieving for his cat. It turned up about 5 weeks later, very bedraggled, been in fights, missing fur, and skinny. He doesn't know why the cat dissapeared or why/how it finally got back home.

Your cat is beautiful-our thoughts will be with you.

I hope she comes back soon! Prayers for Fluffy. I have a Fluffy too, but she's an indoor cat. I couldn't let her out because my neighbors have a barn full of wild cats that are 3 times her size.

She'll be back, I just know it! When I was younger our family cat disappeared for 2 weeks to show up one day like nothing ever happened.
