Just found out a friend died of covid-19 this morning.
A group from work went to a closed bar for a party. A couple of guys got it. .. my friend, their boss, got it 2 weeks after the party so they think they got it at the party and he got it from them. I guess he had been on ventilator for a week or so.

I am so sorry for your loss, Mo!

So many are disregarding all warnings and caution, some of my family included. :he I, for one, am not one to play with fire, snakes, electricity, etc. and therefore wear a mask when I’m out, which isn’t often, but still. If everyone would just ‘mask up’ till the worst of this damn virus gets behind us, our country would be one step better off. Please, everyone, put yourself aside and do it for a loved one.

My thought was to contribute in telling where my avatar name comes from. But after reading the last messages it doesn’t seem appropriate to do so.

Covid is such a serious disease 🦠😔. Here in the land of the Dutch where I started with Dutch bantams 6+ years ago we went into lock down for the second time today. Only necessary shopping , working outdoors if necessary, consulting health professionals and necessary traveling are allowed.. No more gatherings and max 3 people to visit with Xmass. Walking, biking and running outside is allowed for health reasons.

I can seriously appreciate your willingness to pause your story but, I must urge you to reconsider and share the true story of how your user ID came to be....

This thread has tangents all over the avenue of consideration. Absolutely.

So let's readjust focus and return to a hopefully fine story that you have to share (here's hoping we have more stories to follow in the coming week.

🙋‍♂️ I'm one of those comiserating in the covid thread as a safe place to acknowledge the struggle.... So let's keep using "that thread" a safe place to share that stuff and let this thread regain it's meandering path thru humour and what have you as the weeks pass us by.

Shall we all be willing to consider this option here etal?
