What’s wrong with my hen?

My hen “Snuggle” has been molting for about 7 months, she keeps getting new feathers and then the feathers break off again. Her back looks like when a rooster mounts a hen a lot but I don’t have a rooster. Any ideas? Thanks

Treats and supplements……
dried soldier worms, table and garden scraps (lettuce, tomatoes, celery, peas, peppers, grapes, etc) herbs (comfrey, oregano, basil, thyme, etc) brewers yeast.

Cut out all the extras and get some higher protein feed, 16% is the bare minimum they need. And most birds need more. Adding extras to their diet, just dilutes their nutrition more.

The looks like having been overmated. Maybe some of your other hens or birds tread her.
Do you keep other poultry?

You can help her building strong feathers by feeding animal protein and seeds like millet, sesame and sunflower seeds.

And how often/how much treats do they get?

They do sometimes chase her but when it comes to food she is very very greedy. I try not to hand feed treat to her anymore because she seems to think my fingers are part of the treat. For 11 ducks and 11 chickens they get about a handful or two…. Maybe 3 times a week at the most

I’ve never seen anything of the hens or ducks on her. I do have ducks in with the chickens

What is the animal protein? I will see if I can get some of those seeds. The only sunflower seeds I have are roasted and salted
