What’s wrong with my roosters eye!

I just noticed tonight that my roosters eye is very swollen and yellow. It looks like its the eyeball or something around it but not the eyelid if that helps.
I have been out there every day and I’m not sure if maybe I missed it because I didn’t see him on that side or if this is something that just came up today. It’s only on the left side. He is eating and drinking.
With tomorrow being Sunday it’s going to be Monday before I could consult with a vet so I’m coming here for advice in the meantime. I’ll attach pictures but they aren’t the best because I’m holding a flashlight and taking them.

Looks like it is full of pus. Can you pull the yellow gunk out?

I agree, it looks like pus in the eye.

Flush the eye with saline or apply warm saline compresses to the eye, the push or press the pus out of the eye. Try to clean it out really well. Put an ointment like Terramycin in the eye.
