Happened to be in PetSmart this morning when the fish arrived. It was a BIG shipment, so they came in a dozen or so large styrofoam coolers like the Omaha Steak shipments arrive in, OR plastic bags lined in inch thick styrofoam planks and wrapped in foil-coated plastic tarp material OR large buble-wrap insulated bags coated w/foil. I have been wanting to try my hand at building a bator, now I have most of the materials! PLUS enough foil/air bubble light insulation to insulate my brooders and coops!

I received a offer to purchase the omaha steaks in my mail today.do the shipping coolers make good incubators?has anyone used them for incubators?,,anyone? everyone?

According to several enties in the DIY Incubator contest, the answer is "yes". If you don't like steak, go to PetSmart on fish delivery day

A tip from an ex tropical fish nut. pet stores, all of them, get there fish on the same day each week. just ask any store what day their fish arrive, The smaller ones would probably be willing to save the boxes for you.
