I tried a search in this section to see at what age you could introduce the water nipples to your chicks, but I didn't see that specifically. I know the day-olds need pebbles in their water pan to keep from drowning, so when are they be old enough to drink from over-head and how do you show them what to do?

I just wish my chickies could know how much better they have it because I (thanks to the chicken-folk) can get "edumacated" here!

Hi,
Not a 100% sure, but I have seen pics of day old chicks hitting a gerbile/rabbit waterer. So I would think you could do it right away, just being mindful of the height adjustments as they grow. I just switched my 3 month old pullets to nipple waterers yesterday. It took them about 60 seconds to figure it out!..... Quite a sight seeing 12 chickens fighting over two nipples. They actually made quite a wet mess.
