What age did your bantam cochins start laying?

Well i got 2 identically small eggs so im both of mine layed!!! Muffin layed first then Munchkin!

I watched today and it's both red sexlinks started laying a few days ago. very dark brown eggs.
I am waiting for the RIR and australorp to start. They are same age.

Yeah i know, my 2 year old hens are still going strong atleast 3-4 eggs a week from each of them besides my australorp.

The RIR and the Australorp are laying .

But I am so happy because I got the first blue egg today. I think it was laid by my Easter Egger/Americana. Her name is Puff-puff. I sW her checking out the nest. I thought they laid green. But low and behold it is a beautiful bright blue egg.

Thank you. I am starting to have a colored basket. Anxiously waiting to see is Olive my OE will give me dark olive eggs.

If they lay blue eggs, does that mean they have 2 copies of the blue egg gene? And does that mean they will produce olive eggers if mated with a welsummer rooster?
