What I thought was an americanas chick (it has slate colored leg like the other two) has decided to grow a mohawk, could anyone please help me figure out if this crazy chick is indeed a americanas or possibly something else

I would say gold laced polish - but the crest has me questioning myself.

Looks like a Brabanter to me. I think that's how its spelled. A Golden Brabanter.

Sorry it took so long to reply we're having REALLY bad weather here in North Florida today and my dsl keeps kicking me off. It does look like a brabanter chick, how rare are they? I have never even heard of them before.

    Would a hatchery have them?

I bought it at a feed store. I didn't ask which hatchery they ordered from.

Its a little punk rocker chick. So cute! Does he mosh with the other chicks?

And with the black and brown feathers he looks like he's in leathers.

    Great looking chicks!

It's horribly windy here on the west coast. Are you having thunder and lightening as well as really strong winds?
