What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jada! I'm so glad you got another thermometer. It's sounded all along that your temps were running a bit low.
I hope it straightens out --- you got another box of eggs heading your way soon

Wish I could help with wiring the fan, but I've never done that.
Good luck!

If you're eggs are fertile, you can collect and put them in the incubator that day.... candle on day 7 to see if there are veins..... this is what we did with our test batch, and 10 out of 12 hatched.

Good Luck! It can be so frustrating when you are learning and even after you become a pro!
After my birds were all killed by that dag weasel the Nov., I found an egg out in the barn a few days after they died. I stuck in in the bator and low and behold, it was fertile! I was SOOOO excited that I was going to have a peep from my wonderful deceased rooster. Well, 21 days went by and it hatched, then preceeded to die. I was devistated......my husband found me curled up in the shower whimpering. I so wanted it to live, to have a piece of my birds.
We named her NOEL (This was in December) and buried her. My husband made a beautful cross for her out back next to my horses grave.
So yes, you never know what is going to happen. Don't let yourself get jaded. When it all goes fine, it is SO rewarding!!
Honestly, a broody hen is your best bet. I have set myself up for more stress in ordering some eggs, but have high hopes that all will go well.

GOOD LUCK and again, hang in there!!!
