Yeah, that makes sense. TSC gets their chicks from a hatchery. Your sebright is not a mix, then. The thing about hen-feathering, which your rooster lacks, is that it can lower fertility. So can rose combs. Which means that hatchery quality sebrights will often lack the proper comb type (rose) and/or won’t be hen-feathered. This is because hatcheries don’t select very carefully for traits, so roosters and hens with the best fertility will have the most offspring, and since hatcheries have poor stock to begin with, eventually those poor traits become extremely common. The roosters without rose combs and hen-feathering will have better fertility so, despite the fact that these aren’t correct traits, they’ll be a lot of hatchery sebrights with the same faults.Nope from TSC
