What am I

I bought eggs off of Deerman on Ebay two years ago that were suppose to be Purple pied and the top bird is the only egg that hatched I say it is a purple bs but was wondering why it neck is so dark brown for a 2 year old male I am comparing it to the second picture which is my yearling purple pied and I have a yearling purple dark pied and they have so much more color in neck and was wondering if I am right that it is just a purple bs and will have all it color as a three year old

I know that regular BS take to the third year to get there full color but this bird at two I thought would have more color I did get a purple bs chick out of it with one of my purple hens this year and 4 purple chicks

The father was a purple pied split bs, hens in the pen were purple bs,(2) purple bs pied (2)

purple blackshoulders just take longer to color out 3 to 3 1/2 years.
