what and how to force feed a weak/sick hen

I am heartbroken!
I either did the wrong things, or too little too late...

to some Kohl was "just a chicken"
but to me ...
She was entertainment, and a smile, she was a fellow traveler on the road to life.
I raised her, and took care of her when she was sick. She was .. my friend!

RIP my friend, I'm sorry I could not help you get better this time.

Oh no I'm so sorry! I think it was out of your control, even if you were able to do everything you could have she still may have not survived, its scary how suseptible to things like this chickens are.. please try not to feel guilty, for what you did or didnt do, or for feeling bad. Chickens are sweet little things that work their way into our hearts that maybe some people dont understand but I understand... if you want to talk about it anymore you can always PM me.

So sorry about your loss. We loss a new baby chik of ours in the middle of the night last night. I too, feel I should have been able to prevent it or have noticed and done something sooner.Sounds like you did the best you can so please don't beat yourself up!
