They’re sizing each other up. People think birds are happy hee hee ha ha playing they’re not. Everything in the bird world is about dominance they’re vying for who will be dominant bird. When they put their wing out the next thing is a nice hard slap to the body or head. If they ever walk up to you sideways purring you’re about to get spurred or slapped yourself. People think it’s cute to imprint on turkeys and have them follow you around and it’s all good until you have a 30 lbs Tom on your back digging inch long spurs in you. My turkeys run from me because I give them little to no human interaction. @R2elk knows a lot more about this than I do but I’ve learned a lot from his advice on here.
What I meant was, do you have a picture of them doing this handshake thing you are describing? (The only thing I know about turkeys is they are good to eat, sorry)
