I picked up some corn at the local elevater the other day and noticed they had screenings listed on the bill of things they carry. what is screenings and would that make a good feed supplement for my chickens. they now get a good comercial feed and i give them alot of corn now just before winter { corn is $2.92 a bushel rite now 55# vs bagged corn at campells supply at $8.50 for a 50# bag} anything a person can do to save a buck on feed and still give them the things reqiered seems like a good idea to me. so antone had any experiance feeding screenigs?

Screenings are the broken kernals that passed thru the "screen" that is used when they are cleaning the grain. Just won't be full kernals of grain.
