What are some trending chicken breeds

Go under Gallery once in the article and the attached breed chart should show. Click on zip file and open on desk top. Might need double click once on desk top. No it’s not Henderson’s Chart. I made an excel file of all the common large fowl and bantam breeds, their characteristics, and laying information myself by hand in one place. Keep looking it’s there! I downloaded it myself. There are a few rares as well.
Oh I see. I didn't scroll down far enough on the main page. I opened it up on my tablet. It's a very comprehensive chart. Looks like you've put a lot of work into it.
Well done! :thumbsup

You have coined a new term "safe range" I love that!
I have a permanent area that’s predator resistant. (I’d like to say predator proof but...) I also have a set up that I can move. It’s not an easy move but every 2-3 weeks it goes to a different location but still connected to the permanent run. It was my way of trying to save the lawn.
The movable area is safe but not much as the permanent area. So when I’m not home they get shut into the permanent, safer area.

Thank you so much and for the nice review. Yeah the breed chart shows on my apple computer to the right of article once open but on my phone once in article I click gallery and it shows at bottom. This is the only way I could add it due to BYC formatting. So you have to look for the attachment. It could appear in different areas once in article depending on your device. Glad you could find it and liked it! Now when someone asks breed questions, I'm just sending them the article link. Gives them food for thought. I think it is good for new and experienced keepers alike. :):highfive::yesss:

So I have to ask. Is the farm run by nuns? I used to care for nuns in my youth at a retirement facility. Charming ladies for sure!

It depends on what you mean by trending. Generally the breeds at Greenfire Farm are pretty new to this country and are trending, in that people want them because they are rare and because Greenfire is so good at marketing.

I think some of the newer but well established breeds that lay colorful eggs are still trending. Legbars, Isbars, Marans, Barnevelders, Penedesencas.

And new or newish color varieties of established breeds are often trending. Lavender Orpingtons, chocolate Orpingtons, lemon cuckoo Orpingtons, Isabella Leghorns, blue partridge Brahmas, Blue Laced red Wyandottes, Coronation Sussex, silver Sussex, etc.

Silkies and Cochin bantams are always trending because they are fluffy and make great pets. Frizzles, too.

I adore my Salmon Faverolles -- everything from their fluffy five-toed feet to their comical muffs and beautiful feather colors. They were the first chicks I brooded from a feed store, and while they are not cuddlers, they like to follow Honey (my mink survivor Buff Orp and all-time favorite hen) up to the glass back door and wait around for someone to walk out with grapes. We don't peel the grapes for them, but we do tear them into little pieces for easier dining. Spoiled? Nooooooo, I don't think so.
