What are the chicken egg selling laws for Florida?

One of my hens just started laying and once all my my hens start laying I was thinking about selling my chickens eggs at a local flea market. I need to know the laws for selling chicken eggs in Florida.

How do I sell the eggs if i say they they are not for human consumption. Do I just put a stamp that says that? Do I need to still get a FDACS food permit?

No the eggs would not be for hatching. eggs can be used for many thing besides eating.

Well if you think there'll be a market for them that way . Not sure if there's any laws on that though so you might still need to contact the Dept of Agriculture to see if there's special instructions for your situation.

I live in Tampa Fl and go to the small animal sale. Fresh eggs go for 3.50 at the sale a dozen and fertilized eggs i have payed 11.00. Neighbours i sell for 2.00.

It's from about two years ago, but someone says it's fairly easy to comply with the requirements.

Some people buy them to feed to pets.

Several decades ago in another state, I used to sell eggs to the local animal-feed store, that re-sold them for people to feed to their pets. (I suspect some people ate the eggs too, but they were officially being sold for animal feed. I'm guessing that had something to do with the rules in that place at that time.)
