what are the odds they will breed

My male runner breeds with my female pekins, we've hatched their eggs and they make very cute babies!!!

I would not get rid of one if they are your only ducks, they are probably very attached to each other.
 
They'll mate, but that doesn't mean they'll have babies. If you don't want babies, just remove the eggs daily when she starts laying. They'll never start developing, so they'll just be eggs, not babies. Most likely, she won't sit on them anyway because pekins are not known for broodiness, but removing the eggs will take care of any chance of that anyway.

Definitely keep them together. They probably really love each other!

From what I hear (and hope to find out for myself one of these days) is that duck eggs are DELICIOUS! Better then chicken eggs....(bigger for sure) LOL
