What Are These Peafowl Beauties?

those females should be showing green or blue in their necks if blues , cameo will not, purple will have few purple feathers, both these colors are sexlink.

yes sex 5 males 3 females......the lighter one go by color in his neck...looks like bronze best i can tell in that pic

Hey folks! I re-checked this morning. All 4 are hens. They were all reflecting a little blue & purple. The one in question has more barring on it's back than the others, but it has color in it's neck too. deerman, my males reflect from green to blue, but my females reflect from blue to purple. Same or different breed? What is a purple, a spaulding?

Whats the male to female ratio I should keep for breeding?

Ok that still a male, females don't have barring unless greens....those are not greens. The 3 hens sound like purple, light brown with purple feathers in the neck. Cameo would be near that color , but no color feathers in the neck. The lighter male not bronze, looks purple'


So still 5 males 3 females.....


Purple are just one of the colors, and sexlink too. Spalding are cross between indiablues and greens.

2 yr old peacock 2 to 3 hens...older peacocks 4 to 6 hens
