Why cant she be? A wood drake could have mated with a scovy hen right?

I'm almost certain she's not a muscovy...the reasoning behind it is that she seems to have the longer "crest" thing going on above her head. She also doesn't have any of the muscovy caruncles.

Why is it impossible? There's also a mallard that's hanging around. I almost stepped on him on my way to the door.

I guess it is possible. I just can't imagine a wood duck mating a muscovy or the other way around.

The size difference would make a wood duck - muscovy mating very difficult. Not impossible, and where there is a will there is a way.
