We butchered a couple old egg layers today and while dressing them out I saw these tiny little things that to me looked like fish eggs or tapioca looking stuff. What are they. I have butchered many meat birds but this was the first egg layers and I've never seen this before. what was it?

No, they were tiny, clear, firm circles that look just like tapioca.

Were they static or moving? Could be mites......

I have seen pictures of internal layers who had 100's of little pink tiny eggs or something like that inside them. If I can find a picture I will post it.

These things were inside the chicken. I wish I had a picture to show. I don't think they were mites. But I've never seen mites. I wouldn't think they would be inside the cavity.

I looked at those pictures, they were much bigger than what I was seeing. What do eggs look like when they first start in the vent? These things were a small pea size, clear and loose.
